Hyundai has announced prices for its Kona model, with prices starting from £16,195 and sales beginning next month.

The new Kona, which features an 'all turbo' engine line-up, follows on from the i30 in offering high levels of safety equipment, as standard.

Targeting the family market, the new Kona features Drive Attention Alert, Lane Keeping Assist and Hill Start Assist, among others, as part of the price of each model chosen.  Premium models add Blind Spot Detection and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

Engine wise, the new Kona features an 'all-turbo', petrol line-up.  Power ranges from 118bhp in the 1.0-litre to 174bhp in the 1.6.

The entry-level 'S' model comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, 16-inch alloy wheels, 60:40 split folding rear seats and cruise control with speed limiter.  Move up the range to SE and customers can add Roof Rails, fog lamps, leather wrapped steering wheel and Apple CarPlay integration.

Top-spec models receive heated leather seats, front parking sensors, head-up display and four-wheel drive.  Autonomous Emergency braking is also a standard safety feature, on the range-topper.

Prices range for £16,195 for the base model and rise to £24,995 for the range-topping Premium GT.
