Before going vegan I was under the impression that I would never really be able to enjoy sweet treats, or baked goods ever again… We all know that typical vegan stereotype of solely consuming potatoes… Well I thought that was going to be me – but fortunately I was wrong. Although vegan baking can be slightly different to normal baking, there’s no need to worry because there really is a replacement for everything, e.g. using flax seeds and water as an alterative to eggs.

If you’re like me when I was at University and lacked an oven in the first year, there’s still always ways around it, e.g. I used a halogen oven, which aren’t always expensive (OR you could make friends with the cool kids who live in halls with ovens).

These recipes vary from super easy, to medium, and pro, so there’s something for everyone.

Vegan Snowball Cookies

I’ve never had a cookie in the shape of a ball before, but now I feel like I need it in my life? Dairy free chocolate chips are surprisingly easy to find as you will find some that are accidentally vegan in supermarkets. Also, if you don’t eat gluten-free just go ahead and use normal flour instead.

Vegan Christmas Wreath

For all you seasoned bakers out there, here’s a recipe that will blow your family and friends away.

Christmas Sprinkle Cookies

This cookie recipe looks delicious, and more importantly, perfect for Instagram… The only difficult ingredient to find in this recipe is probably the sprinkles as they are usually glazed with beeswax.

Mince Pies

OK so there are a few vegan mince pies about these days, however, isn’t it always more impressive to make your own?

Brownies

Don’t let the aduki beans in the ingredients put you off… Be adventurous! Also, not only is this fabulous Jamie Oliver recipe vegan, but it’s gluten-free too.

Gingerbread Men Cookies

What’s Christmas without gingerbread men? This recipe has super simple ingredients, and it’s fun to make.

Raspberry Coconut Thumbprint Cookies

These cookies are perfectly crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside mmm – good thing the recipe makes 32 of them!

Soft Cocoa & Orange Cookies

How about something a little bit healthier? This recipe calls for very simple and natural ingredients, and doesn’t need any butter, milk, or egg alternatives!

Are you feeling festive and inspired yet? Or is it still too early?
